Activities on San Miguel Island
Land Edition
There are a lot of fun adventurist land activities too not only the water activities like deep sea diving (Scuba Diving) and boating but instead the land activities like: Hiking, Camping, wild life watching, and discovering wild life flowers. And sadly all of the deadly, risky, dangers of these adventurist activities.
When you’re hiking and you have food with you an island fox could sneak it out of your backpack or whatever else your food is getting held in. Or you could be a toilet for brown pelicans or other birds. This isn’t so dangerous but might be a little stinky.
When you’re Camping and when you go to sleep if you leave food out your camp could get raided with animals like, island fox, eagles, (golden eagles and bald eagle) and brown pelican could all steal your food and raid your camp. So put all of your food in a spot that animals can’t smell, see, or eat the food.
When you’re out wild life watching you could run into something spiky and then it could be poisonous or it could just be spiky, if it was poisonous then you might want to get immediate medical attention before you get too injured and… die.
When you’re looking for beautiful flowers in the wild then you might run into a poisonous flowers and then when you touch it you might get sick or seriously injured or just get a cut from something spiky like a rose bush.
Also there is always something fun and something to enjoy about these activities too. Like when you’re hiking you could find beautiful animals and if you’re a kid maybe you would like to find some cool hiding spots like I once found a cool place covered with bamboo and the only way to get there is to climb part of a mountain and it was very fun to climb the mountain in San Diego.
When you’re camping you could find a cool campsite that could have an ocean view or there is some campsite near the beach almost on the beach.
When wild life watching you could find some fascinating animals and the ways of animals.
Activities on San Miguel Island Water Edition
There are many different activities to do on San Miguel Island. Here are some activities to do in water or on top of water: Kayaking, Scuba diving, Boating, and Swimming. And like always the dangers that could happen while perform these activities.
When scuba diving your tank can run out of oxygen and you could drown, or you may have not filled your oxygen in the first place so you wouldn’t drown because you would most possibly try to breathe before you get to far from the surface of the water to drown.
When Kayaking your kayak could flip over and you might get stuck for a few 10 seconds or so and there isn’t much more dangers that could happen.
When you’re boating there are sometimes large waves so until you get out far enough away from the waves you might have some trouble getting out to the smooth water in the open.
When swimming if you have an open bleeding cut a leopard shark or blue shark could smell it and then they could track you down and… eat you. Or you could get smashed by a big wave and get blown down below the surface for a while.
And for all of these activities there are great beautiful sites, like one time my big brother saw a dolphin swimming right next to him when he was kayaking with my dad and Uncle.
I once swam on the top of a wave and it was very fun and I had a pretty good and beautiful sight.
When boating you could see schools of shiny fish at the top of the water and then the sun might reflect of the school of fish and then create a beautiful sight.
When scuba diving you could find a clam and maybe inside the clam there is a pearl. Or you could see other fascinating fish and animals below the surface while scuba diving like a coral reef with plenty of colorful fish living there and all of the colorful coral also.
