Global Warming has become a worldwide issue these past decades. Global warming will soon make the planet a hostile place to live in. We are destroying the ozone layer, while passing through a climate change, which may have devastating impacts on our planet later on. These problems can be solved in diverse ways, but will only resolve the multiple conflicts of global warming if humanity takes action in doing so, instead of procrastinating on the matter.
Our human inventions have led to extraordinary advances and great technological promise. It also has grave, unintended consequences, and unless we face the change in climate, which has become a crisis, with ingenuity and a sense of urgency, much of the world, as we know it, will begin to crumble before our eyes. This will happen because the inhabitants of planet Earth clearly do not live within reasonable means.
What causes most problems that lead to global warming is that over the last century, society has been releasing more and more carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere. We do this by burning fossil fuels and cutting down forests. These additional gases have upset the natural balance of the planet, causing the atmosphere to trap more heat than the Earth can handle.
Some ways of solving this huge problem is by living in harmony with the environment. We humans are using much more than what we have. We are operating a system past its full capacity, and driving it faster and harder. If we continue living on earth this way, the planet will not be able to cope with the way we live our lives.
The main problems that we are encountering are pollution, greenhouse gases, and deforestation. Pollution is mainly caused by greenhouse gasses that are emitted through cars, factories, and households. Fossil fuels are mainly what power those things. When fossil fuels are burnt, they produce pollution in form of greenhouse gasses. Greenhouse gasses trap heat inside our atmosphere, which heat up our planet, thus creating a natural conundrum. Deforestation is becoming a huge conflict as well. Most of our once luscious forests are vanishing because many companies chop would in order to make their products. Because the forests are disappearing, the local wildlife has nowhere to live, and most species become endangered, or even extinct.
Global warming increases in the average temperature of the Earth's surface. Because of this, the sea temperature also rises, therefore melting ice caps and causing water levels to rise as well. Many coastal cities will be affected by the increasing water levels. We really need to change our way of living, and global warming is a harsh wake up call.
