Title: Cricket Chirp

Subject: Mathematics

File Size: 79KB

Cricket Chirp is about caluclating temperatures a natural way, and this is a very interesting fact that we have researched on(The Library of Congress, 2009)[1]. Although this may not replace our high-tech thermometers, it is an interesting application of formulas in real-life examples.

This cricket chirp is not only to give a very interesting fact that occurs in nature, but also to reinforce learning of substituting numbers into a given formula through an interesting medium. It is very visual to see the different parts of the formula being "changed" into the number and how substituting numbers into the formula works. This vivid videos, thus, is targeted to the younger ones. This topic is chosen because we feel that the other formulas are not as interesting as this one and thus would not attract as much attention with the younger kids.
