Mindmaps and DrawingsVivid Visuals > Mindmaps and DrawingsVisual learning is not only limited to IT resources but also any form of teaching involving visualization. One such method is the use of mind maps and concept maps to teach and explain abstract concepts that may be related to one another. ![]() (Image retrieved from Wikipedia.org with licensing approved) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Guru_Mindmap.jpg This is a good example of a very clear and concise concept map. From the image above, you can see that different concepts can be classified under different broad umbrella categories, from which can be further classified into subcategories. This goes on until everything has been isolated and differentiated from the rest. However, there may still be concepts that are related to each other and these relationships can be represented by arrows and links. Through this form of visual learning, users that may not have access to computers or the internet can also use visual learning to enhance the quality and efficiency of their learning.
