There are three basic styles of tattoos. The first style is flat tattoos. Flat tattoos tend to be plain blocks of color, usually black, without any fine details or shading. This is an example of what a flat tattoo might look like:
Notice how the entire picture is black and white. It has no details or shading. It does not appear to have any sort of dimensionality. It is merely a flat design on the skin. This is what makes a flat tattoo.
The second style of tattoo is a traditional tattoo. These tattoos usually consist of black lines, filled in with color to create a bright noticable tattoo, but still not as detailed as it might be. This is an example of a traditional tattoo:
The third style of tattoo is fine line. This style of tattoo expanded the image gallery and open the craft up to serious artistry. This style can be identified by its detailed color and thin outline. This style is also found by its foucus on the lines of the tattoo. this is an example of a fine line tattoo:
