Noise Control
in Industries
Noise control in industries can be achieved by material with high acoustic absorption, good engineering designs, isolating or insulating the noisy equipment, silencing. In the foundry industry, noise can be reduced by using separate sound proof enclosures for noisy moulding machines, installing improved mould design to reduce extra metal to be removed after casting. Examples of noise control measures include: training workers, job rotation reducing the amount of time.
One solution to reduce industrial noise is use of advanced engineering and methods to reduce noise. Creating shock mounting equipment, barriers, ear protection equipment can result in noise reduction. Machinery itself can be re-designed to operate in a manner to reduce sound emissions.
One source of noise is the gas jet which can be reduced by using silencer
nozzles.
