TRANSPORTATION

Tekirdağ is on the crossroads of Turkey to Europe. You can reach our city easily via motorways from İstanbul. If you prefer airway, There are air connection via Çorlu airport. There are regular minibus services between the airport and Tekirdağ.

 Tekirdağ has a wonderful range of accomodation, with something to meet all tastes and every budgets. Hotels, guest houses, summer houses, camping and apartments.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

Tekirdağ , in the northwest  of Turkey , is one of the three cities that is in  Thrace completely, furthermore  it is one of the six cities that has shores  of the two seas. Tekirdağ is between  41º 34' 52" - 40º 52' 53" - 41º 35' 28" – 40º 32' 23  north  latitudes and  28º 09' 14" - 26º 42' 42" – 28º 08' 34" – 26º 54' 24  east  longitudes. The city has  6.313 km² square measure and its  altitude is between  0-200 m.

The city is surrounded by  Silivri, and Çatalca, the counties of  İstanbul,  in the east, Vize, Lüleburgaz, Babaeski  and   Pehlivanköy,the counties of Kırklareli , in the north, Marmara Sea and Gelibolu, the county of Çanakkale , in the south. It has a 1,5 km shore of the Blacksea in the northeast.

Tekirdağ, the biggest  city  of the south Ergene Riverbasin,  is settled on the shore of a  wide bay  where the ways coming from south Ergene and  from north  reach the Sea of Marmara Sea. The citycenter is  spread to three steps that follow each other , partly on the slopes of the hills  and partly on the seaside cliffs. The elevation is 12 m on the first step ,the Government House exists ,25 m on the step that the bazaar exists and  45 m on the last step that Tuğlacılar High School exists in the north.
