Suhasini's Page
Hi! I'm Suhasini. I am 14 years old and a student of Class IX in India.
I am a happy-go-lucky girl who likes to see everyone around her happy and cheerful. I am best known among my peer group for my sense of humor and quick-wittedness! I take life as it comes and try to see the positive side of things. I also like meeting new people and making new friends.
In my free time, I love to read books. This is one interest we all share, which is why we decided to dedicate this website to books!
Since I have been in grade 4, I have had a keen interest in writing, be it short stories or poems. I have continued my passion ever since, and I still enjoy writing poems in my free time and am pretty good at it. Many of my pieces have also often been published in our annual school magazine.
My other hobbies include swimming, playing badminton, surfing the internet, talking to my friends, and above all, spending fun time with my family. I love singing, too. I am also a talented Kathak dancer (Kathak is a classical Indian dance form).
Academically too I am doing well at school, and am usually among the high scorers of the class. In the past, I have also taken part in many science, math, and computer awareness Olympiads. I love animals too, and am happiest when I am with them, or close to nature in any other way. I also enjoy nature photography…capturing the right moment at the right time is my specialty!
Following my interests and being very lucky to have received full support from my family, I want to become an Environmentalist when I grow up. I feel strongly about issues such as Global Warming, which are posing a threat to the Earth, and feel myself capable of bringing about a change.
Recently, for the Earth Hour that took place globally, I, along with my friends, did the best we could to spread awareness among people about this issue and getting them to take part in the event enthusiastically. We made numerous posters and pamphlets…and we even came on T.V.! I am also a part of the Environment Club at school.
When this competition was announced, surprisingly, I wasn't aware of it. But eventually, while talking to my friends Neehal and Eesha, and my cousin Vrinda, I got to know about this very interesting website designing opportunity and decided to join the team, the strength of which I realized during this journey. Also, being a tech savvy person, this opportunity seemed to be another way of putting my computer knowledge to use and enhancing it.
We all have put in our best of efforts in making and completing this website, and I hope you will have a good and fun time surfing through it!
