Eesha's Page
Hi! I’m Eesha. Welcome to my page! I’m 14 years old. I don’t know how best to describe myself, but I think I can give it a try.
I’ve always been as interested in extra-curricular activities as in academics. Whether it was a debate, a book discussion, an art competition, or a computer quiz, I’ve tried my hand at them all. I believe that doing things is the best way to learn. And the exposure I have gained from this competition is truly valuable. It has been a wonderful journey, during which I have learnt a lot, and had lots of fun along the way too!
My hobbies include making web pages as a pastime (I’ve been doing that for the past three years), surfing the web, writing (I’ve been writing poems and short stories since I was eight), photography, drawing and collage making (I have my own unique style of collage making wherein I mix many art styles together; this is a great stress buster for me). I am fascinated by UFO stories , supernatural happenings, extra-sensory perception, forensics, whodunits, detective analysis and science fiction (I'm a big X Files and Doctor Who fan), and exploring different styles of writing and poetry. My passions include Music (I play the classical guitar), art, languages, reading and writing, creating new things and learning new things.
This competition has taught me a lot about web design, but along with that, and more importantly, it has taught me how to function well in a group. This experience has given me the opportunity to meet and make friends with wonderful people. I am glad that I got to know Neehal better, her overall knowledge of computers is truly astonishing; Suhasini for her humour and quick wittedness, along with her sharpness of mind; and Vrinda for never letting us waste any time (thank you!), coming up with some brilliant ideas, and just being a really fun person to be with.
I can remember being given books before I could even read! I’ve always seen books lying around the house, and have been brought up to love them and appreciate them as though they were people or treasure. I have also had a lot of interest in computers, which for a reason that I still cannot determine, I have always been good at! I’d listen to my mother with fascination, when she’d talk to me about computer tricks.
What was amazing about this competition was that it allowed me to be a part of a project which involved both my knowledge of computers and my love for books.
