Food

Foods typically eaten in Africa are foods that can be grown locally.

Because meat is expensive, it is considered to be a novelty food in many

parts of Africa, specifically Sub- Sahara Africa. A typical breakfast will

consist of grains, especially curds and whey. For lunch and dinner

vegetables and fruits such as peas, beans, yams, plantain, banana, and

watermelon are widely consumed. Stews using broth made of starch-based

products are made with vegetables and meat when it is available. Fish is

also used in a verity of dishes.
