Egypt The Egyptian summers are hot and they have mild winters, so they wear light clothing made from plant fibers, mostly from linen and rarely cotton, flax is the most commonly used in the Middle East since the 5th millennium. Cotton and wool was mainly used in ancient Egypt. Colored or patterned cloth was hardly ever used . Their clothing was influenced by the extreme amounts of heat and well they just like to be fashionable. All of their clothing they wore and still wear is lightweight and comfortable. Linen is produced in Egypt so it’s the most commonly used material to make clothes. The ancient Egyptians were very majestic; also they were very cleanliness about their appearance. The ones that were badly presented were considered subsidiary. Men and Women both wore Make-up and very fawn jewelry, especially an amulet, was worn to protect themselves and give them great power to succeed. Unfortantualy the style of egyptions has not changed very much throughout time. Like back then men would wear a short skit called a kilt and women wore straight fitting dresses held up by straps. Pleating is draping on the body like a swing and that’s the main decoration. In Egypt many women wear scarfs or a head scarf, this is to demonstrate their modesty or to discourage male advances such a verbal and physical. Some guys grow beards. The men wear galabiyya’s. Woman wear robes that cover their hair eyes ears and arms with a Vail. |

Eye Make-up Ancient Egypt is known as the most heralds, of eye make-up. The Faces of Egyptians are very bold and very attracting, when directed to their face you honestly will not be able to look away. As you notice the eyes of an Egyptian it’s the most noticeable feature, it’s shown as a embodies a holistic view. The memoranda’s that are over taken by using the make-up on their faces are only used for decretive reasons; they symbolize spiritual and medical customs. It serves as a shield or a personal shield to help against evil things and also according to their history an unabandoned eye corresponds to an unprotected eye, this makes a person very weak and vulnerable or known as the “evil eye”. Early Egyptians idolized cats, and so their eyes were now cosmetically enhanced to look the same way as the idolized cat, darkened, almost almond shaped. They classified their make-up into two kind’s mesdemet and udju, mesdemet is lead which is the darker one, it’s a decretive of another element of galena or stibnite. The latter comes from copper more specifically green malachite. Galena is said to be effective in protecting the eye from the intense heat of the sun. it also acts as a disinfectant as well. They used kohl to make their eyelashes darker, it also added length and volume to the lashes.
