History of Soccer in Europe

The sport football or soccer was evolved from part all over the world, because lot countries had their own versions of kicking a ball with the feet. The history in Europe started round 800 AD in England and it was a type of rugby. But rugby was not very liked and King Edward II banned it in the 1300s. But the actually game of soccer survived and grew even more. It still took a long time to spread around the world, it was in the 1800s. In 1863 there was a meeting of the London football association, when football just was played at school and universities and they distinguished the sport. The first official soccer club was the FA club, in 1871. The International Football Association Board (IFAB) was determined and it said the rules of the actual game. These rules were formed in 1886 in Manchester, England. Just two years later the first professional soccer league was founded ("Soccer History.").

This sport with all the actual rules spread fast all over the world. A lot of European countries founded their own football associations and leagues. A new start of the history of soccer was in 1904, at a meeting in Paris, France, where Denmark, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and
the Netherlands arranged the international association, the “Fédération Internationale de Football Association” or better known as FIFA ("Soccer History.").
