The Aries Valley |

The Aries springs from the Bihor Mountain.If you go up the sourse you'll
be fascinated by the pictoresque landscapes which seem to come down from a fairy world.Long ago Aries valley was wondered by the gold researchers that's why this river is called The Gold river. |
| The Aries valley is one of the most attractive zone from
Romania.The line goes through the karst region of the Bihor mountains,the
biggest fossil glacier(Scarisoara)natural rezervation(basalt columns from
Detunata,the hill with snails,Vidolm's Rezervation). |

The mountains from the north part of the Aries valley are formed by
cristaline shales and limy rocks. |
The coniferons and leafy forest covered vast areas which then became agricultural areas and hayfields.In some palces there is steppe vegetation with plants for salt marsh. |

The fauna of the region is very rich.Among the mammals the bear(ursus arctos) which live in the superior basin of the Iara valley from where it wonders during the night making a lot of troubles to the peasants,the wolf(canis lupus),the fox(vulpes vulpes) and the wild boar. |
The Aries and its tributaries, has picturesque valleys with areas of narrow gorges and spectacular, uninterrupted river and the meadows. On the Aries valley there are skillful handicrafts in wood carts,cooperage,musical instruments(shepherd's flute,alpenhorn). |
