Welcome

Tech is useful for teachers…therefore it should be useful for students:

Technology is a very useful tool that we are lucky to have. Teachers use it to teach students lessons and strategies. But mostly they use it because it is that much easier to pull up a website and read from there then it is to open a book and read it. Also books get out dated; you can’t change the information in the book…which means that you are missing out on information. But you can change the information on a web page anytime you want, which allows you to have the correct and newest input on the subject that you are working on.

Teachers use technology to teach students thing…so students should be able to use technology to teach themselves things.

If a student could be allowed to carry around a laptop to all their classes they would eliminate the need for a note book for all of there classes. Also they wouldn’t need a book because you would have the internet and other resources to get the same maybe better info from. Students wouldn’t need paper or a pencil because they would have a program called Microsoft Word or some her note book such as a blog, journal or profile to store their notes.

Technology has taken the place of many different things. This process won’t ever stop because people will be designing faster and more convent way to get things done.

“…for a host of reasons, we are failing to empower kids to use one of the most important technologies for learning that we’ve ever had. One of the biggest challengers educators face right now is figuring out how to help students create, navigate, and grow the powerful, individualized networks of learning that bloom on the Web and helping them do this effectively, ethically, and safely.” As stated in the article Footprints in the Digital Age (Richardson).

In today’s society, basically everything involves technology, and what is not will soon be replaced with the faster, more convenient machinery. Technology has helped and enhanced the average person’s lifestyle. As society has grown older our basic everyday needs have stayed the same, but the technology hasn’t. We have applied the technology to our everyday lives to carry out these needs in a much more efficient manner. This website will show teachers and parents how significant technology is in their children and students lives. It is our belief that a child or student who goes without technology they will be left behind and will have a very difficult time catching up to their peers.

Like the past, man has been inventing and reinventing tools and applications to help accomplish our needs. As we advance in our lives, technology will adapt to the planets and its inhabitant’s needs. For example, when the first humans realized that they would not be able to survive with out heat, they made fire to the create heat. Later in human society, people decided that it was no longer a safe to carry around torches and made the candle. After the convenience of carrying around a candle had past, inventors started brainstorming new ideas about safer and better technology to do the same job. The product of their thinking was a light bulb, an enhanced and much handier outcome of what started as fire. The invention of the wheel was perhaps thought unnecessary by those that were around, as so the parents and teachers of today think with computers and iPods…etcetera. Our website will focus on showing those parents and teachers why technology will be a necessity for the lives of their children in the future.
