Benito's Childhood.     

       Benito Mussolini was born July 27, 1883 in the village of Predappio, Romagna. Being named after Benito Juarez, a Mexican revolutionist and his fathers idol, he was a strange young man growing up.  His father was named Alessandro Mussolini, a blacksmith and a part of the socialist political group. Benito's mother was a school teacher. Benito also qualiflied to be a teacher. In 1902 he immigrated to Switzerland and was arrested for vagrancy, and sent back to Italy. There he got involved in politics, and served in the military. He accomplished the same ranking as Adolf Hitler, a General, but was later discharged in 1917 because of a knife wound.
