It has become a part of our life to such an extent that we cannot think of our life without computers. It helps us in weather forecasting, national security, road safety measures and long distance personal interface [ tele conferencing ]. It helps us in asssessment and evaluation of various scientific as well as statistical data.

 

The repeated promises and delivery of newer, faster, or more versatile systems and software makes one hesitant to commit a system for fear of missing out for something better. Moreover this constant introduction of new systems tends to drive down the price of the old, so that even when we make a decision to buy, we may be concerned about paying too much for the system we have selected.
