Windsor Castle: England

Windsor castle was built on the banks of the Thames River in England.  Royal families have lived there for about nine centuries.  Windsor castle is the largest occupied castle in the world.  The Norman tower (shown in the picture to the left) was near the northern terrace.  The northern terrace and the round tower where built in was built in the 1170s. Warwick Castle: England

     Warwick Castle was built in 1068.  Warwick castle overlooks the Avon River.  Since the castle was built in the eleventh century Warwick Castle overcame many different changes.  The changes included additional towers and redesigned building for resident housing.  Warwick Castle was first constructed from wood.  Later in the 12^th century the castle was rebuilt out of stone.    Factsonfile.com Anthony
