Somewhat Addicted
Whilst you may not be totally addicted, there is definitely no cause for rejoice. Like the blue amongst the red, you are on the edge of becoming an addict. You are hanging on a string and on the verge of falling off. If you do not take precautions, you will find yourself succumbing to your temptations and desires. In fact, you are already experiencing most of the symptoms and possibly, even, suffering from its side effects. When that happens, you may even require treatment.
Some Suggestions
When full-fledged, addiction can become tricky. Hence, it is crucial that we deduce the root of the problem and snip it in the bud. Thankfully, we have discovered your condition early and will be able to curb it by taking certain measures.
To start with, this section builds on the 'tips and tricks' already mentioned in the respective sections of the different devices. Hence, I hope you have read them, else, you should proceed over when you are done with this.
Evidently, the dominant issue here is - control - thus, we will begin by tackling this problem. Firstly, it is necessary that you believe in the importance of taking responsibility over your actions and to set priorities for yourself. This consciousness can only be infused through understanding. You must understand the implications which your erroneous behaviour can bring and choose to correct it. Hopefully, the insight you have been exposed to thus far has managed to inculcate such a value.
Now that you have recognised the root of problem, you must learn how to reduce the amount of time spent on your mobile devices. It is very simple, really. For a start, you can impose a time limit on yourself and make it obligatory that you participate in an outdoor or extra curricular activity every once in a while. Every time you feel that you have spent too much time on your mobile device, take a walk in the park, alone or with your family and the pet dog. You will definitely feel better and refreshed afterwards. Additionally, when engaging with games on your media device, try to do so with a group of friends. Under the circumstance when you are unable to, consult an adult for help, or a parent who can impose stringent rules to correct your habits or to temporarily take away your device.
No doubt, it will be difficult at first, but if you are able to divert your attentions and persist through the initial stages, it will certainly guide you towards the right path. Finally, if you feel the need to pursue harsher methods, you can always refer to here.
