Asteroid 2008 CT1 is a tank-sized asteroid and is one of the most frightening asteroids to not hit the Earth because of how close it came. It could potentially return to hit the Earth in 2041. Scientists are keeping a very close watch on any activity near the Earth. They have a tremendous amount of work to do because there are so many asteroids, some passing very close to us.
Because of the modern advances in technology and science, scientists have recently discovered many impacts and "close calls" of Near Earth Objects.
