How the National Debt Affects the Economy
    wall street

Have you noticed how our economy is in the gutter? The reason for this may be our high National Debt. The National Debt is how much our country owes to other countries. Right now it is the highest its been in years. The National Debt is now around 11,000,000,000,000 dollars. Ever since Bush Senior was president the National Debt has skyrocketed.

One of the greater contributions to the increase in debt is the Iraq war. We have spent over 600,600,560,00 dollars. This high percentage of debt has effected numerous things. For example, over the last few years over 75.9 million workers reported getting paid less than minimum wage. We have been paying our debts off and we have been losing the money to pay our own people. Mabye we are in so much debt because of our past few presidents. I guess we will find out if that is the true cause of this outrageous debt amount. With Barack Obama as our new president, perhaps he can lead us out of these dark times.
