The economy is affecting people’s lifestyles and how they live. Many people wouldn’t want to admit it, but their moods are changing. Many people have been stressed to the point where when they get fired they don’t feel like getting up out of bed to go look for a new job. This has happened to about 3.8 million since December 2007. Not only is this happening to adults but it’s happening to their kids too. It puts more pressure on the kids. The kids end up playing the parent role. In many ways will they get stressed to? The answer to that is yes because they will see there parents struggle and it hurts them as well.
Some students were surveyed and they said there are ways to help your parents. A girl named Sydney, age 13, says be the bigger person and try not to get stressed out because that shows to your elders and it hurts them. Another girl named Sasha, age 18, says it may help to prepare us for the future. In other words, it makes us more responsible with money. |

Kourtney, age 13, says she talks to her friends about the economy. Not going shopping and not having to go to a lot of places helps. How you might say? Not having to give you money or even drive you somewhere because even that costs money with the gas prices. Another thing that may help for some people is sitting in a peaceful room, in meeting style. Tell one or two things that made you really happy that week. This helps because it makes your parents think that even though they are struggling there are still things that they can do to make you happy.
