In Moldova you can visit the old monasteries of: Putna, Dragomirna, Bogdana-Radauti, Neamt, Agapia (one of the largest nun monasteries in the Orthodox world) and Varatec,The Trei Ierarahi Church in Iasi ,built in 1635, The Neamt Fortress in Targu Neamt,The natural scenery of the Bicaz Gorges, one of the most spectacular road passes in Romania. The Ceahlau is the sacred mountain of Dacians, the forefathers of the Romanian people, where Zamolxes, their supreme god, had his temple.

The Moldavian sarmale (meat rolls in sauerkraut leaves) are very popular in Romania , these meatballs, rolled in cabbage or vine leaves, are made from minced pork mixed with rice, salt, pepper, chopped dill and parsley as well as chopped onion; small portions of this mixture are then rolled in cabbage or vine leaves and boiled. The sarmale are always accompanied by polenta.
The delicious local desert papanasi is made of cottage cheese dumplings (boiled or fried).

Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g (approx. 1 lb ) farmer’s cheese
- 2 eggs
- 5 tbsp cream of wheat
- 5 tbsp bread crumbs
- 50 g olive oil
- 4 tbsp sugar

Traditional houses from Moldova:

Curteni House, Vaslui, 1844:
• To build the house brick was used to raise the walls and reed was used for the roof.The walls are decorated with traditional fabrics and clothes.
Naruja House, Vrancea, 1800:
• This building is equipped with a basement. The house is filled with painted pots made of wood with patterns of geometric motifs and anthropomorphic, which proves the main occupations of the people and their artistic skills in woodworkin.
Audia House, Neamt, 1800:
• The decorated rugs give a touch of sumptuousness to the interior. The various objects and tools located in the rooms reflects the ingenuity and the talent of the people that were living in this area.
Zapodeni House, Vaslui, 1600:
• Built of massive oak beams,the house contains only one room, with direct access.
Rapciuni House, Neamt, 1800:
• The house has one room,the arhitecture is simple without any exterior decorations.
Mastacan House, Neamt, 1800:
• Fabrics of wool, hemp and cotton along with traditional clothes ornate the walls.The inventory of the household is filled with various tools such as the hatchet and the ax, this tools reflect the work in the forest once a specific occupation for the people.
