The fish are hungry and most aggressive later in the day from noon until about 6:00p.m. During the summer, the best time to fish is either very early in the morning or late day. This is because during the day when the sun is heating up the water the fish will swim deeper into the cooler water. In the fall from noon until 6:00pm it is ideal for fishing because the surface water is just warm enough to bring the fish to the top. Like many other animals, they are fattening up for the winter.
