The Japanese samurai have an intriguing culture that has inspired much of the media of the 21st century. Many movies have been created to display the characteristics of these once powerful warriors, manga (Japanese comics) have been written to portray the life of samurai, and books have been written to inform the audience of their culture. Another form of media is animation, which is also influenced by samurai culture. In this section, different types of modern influence will be explored.
