From various backgrounds we have come. From different households, from different cultures, from different lands, we have come. From the paradise of the Jamaican islands, from the heart of the homeland Kenya, from the far reaches of the beautiful lands of Eritrea, and from the agriculturally sound islands of the Phillipines, we have come. Individually we are great, but as a team we are the greatest. Together we make the Super Westside Samurai's (SWS).
The Japanese samurai history has impacted the globe by reinforcing information that has then lead to many different styles of martial arts and beliefs. Bushido has also impacted the globe by influencing other fighting styles around the world. Manga or anime are great examples of media that has had global impact. Everyone in the world reads and watches either of these media forms. Many samurai martial styles are still taught today. A lot of it focuses on personal growth, morals and virtues.
Our team is VERY Diverse. We have an equal male and female balance on the team [two Female two Males]. All of the members come from different parts of the world; two from the African lands of Kenya and Eritrea. One and a “half” from the Filipino Islands and the other “half” from the Islands of Jamaica. We all live in different aspects of our community. We all have access to computers but that doesn’t always mean we have every piece of technology that we need; for instance a printer. Some of us have to go out of our way to pay to print our homework.
We as a team have discussed many different ideas of games or animation to put in our site. We currently have a crossword puzzle with words that have been identified from the research [content] of our site. We are currently working on finalizing our drop down menus for the subtopics. We also have an Idea of a rollover on the background of the site [outside background] that would rollover words written in Kanji. Our intended audience is EVERYONE. All ages in any corner of the world.
