Hip Hop

Hip HopIn 2005 Krump took Hip Hop and everyone else on a ride that they would have never seen coming. When it first came out people still thought of break dancing as Hip Hops first dance because Hip Hop and break dancing emerged around the same time. People had questions like: What dance could be more aggressive than breaking crews battling on the streets of the South Bronx? Or even what dance could be more spectacular than the gravity-defying head spins and body illusions of break dancers?

These questions were answered with the movie Rize. Rize took Krump out of the streets of South Central and to the big screen. In this movie you meet a young man who was only ever just trying to survive. He started working as a clown, not knowing that later he would be creating an art form that would take over the Hip Hop world.

Krump is known as Clowning on speed. People who krump, live to krump. They love the high they get from the raw energy of it. Even one kid said that if " You miss two days of Krump sessions you're slacking and other dancers can tell”, which shows that kids care about how they Krump.
