Bollywood has been known for its entertainment traits for many years. Bollywood is another term for the Hindi Language Film industry in India. It's film industry has spread to corners of the word, mostly because of its dancing and musical entertainment.Raja Harishchandra (1913), by Dadasaheb Phalke, was the first silent feature film made in India. The first Indian sound film, Ardeshir Irani's Alam Ara (1931), was a major commercial success, as it was the beginning of Indian musicals. With sound, Indian filmmakers added one of the most important trademarks of modern Bollywood films: dancing. Musical Bollywood films often feature several—three, four, or more—complicated group dances, complete with song and bright costumes. Because dancing is such an important part of Bollywood, it has simply become known as bollywood dancing. In the 1980s and 1990s, Western music videos reached India, and the dancers choreographing Indian films adapted many moves from the music videos of Western artists.
