Nemesis
Goddess of Vengeance.

Nemesis was the manifestation of the gods’ fury toward the prideful.  In Greek mythology, a gloriously handsome man named Narcissus rejected a nymph, Echo, who loved him.  As his name indicates, he was extremely narcissistic.  Nemesis’ punishment was causing him to be forever pining away for his own reflection.  She rebuked wickedness in general, in addition to rewarding the virtuous. 

Extra Notes: Echo, the Nymph

Hera, jealous of Echo, caused her to be incapable of any form of speech except repetition of others’ words.  After Narcissus spurned Echo’s love, she faded into oblivion, and the only part of her that remained was her voice, which can still be heard echoing what we say…
