Graeae (Gray Women)
Graeae, or the Gray Women, were the sisters of the Gorgons, and the embodiment of old age.  They were called Dino (terrible), Enys (warlike) and Pemophredo (waspish); and they shared a single eye and a solitary tooth.

As the Gray Women were passing them amongst themselves,  Perseus stole the eye and tooth for leverage and demanded to know the whereabouts of the stygian nymphs: the location of whom was only known by the Graeae.  When they told him, he returned the tooth, but tossed the eye into Lake Tritonis, lest they try to find the nymphs to warn them of his arrival.  He found the nymphs, stole their winged sandals, invisibility cap, and magic wallet, and used them to aid his plot to kill Medusa, the Graeaes’ sister, which eventually succeeded.
