Gaia
Mother Earth, also the first-born child of Chaos.
Gaia gave birth to Uranus (Sky) and Pontus (Sea). Gaia and Uranus had a son, Cyclopes, a monstrous creature. Then Gaia had many other children, the first generation of the gods. They were called the Titans. Among the Titans were Cronus and Rhea, Zeus’s, and many others gods’ and goddesses’, parents. She also gave birth to the monster, Typhon. Typhon was a hundred-headed creature with a snake’s tail. Gaia gave birth to The Furies, Nymphs, and various giants. She also produced Mnemosyne (Memory), which was passed down to her granddaughters, The Muses.
