Transport
In the next 50 years transport will change drastically. New environmental-methods for cars, completely new ways of travelling on earth and even new methods to go in space. Planes, trains, cars, ships, shuttle’s and every other conveyance you can imagine will change, nothing will be the same.
Cars:
Cars are nowadays the most used transport option. In 2059 they will still be popular, but the cars will be used in very different ways. First of all, the car we’ve known for so many years will disappear. There will be no cars driving on the ordinary roads on Earth anymore, but there will be roads in the air. Huge, 50 meters high avenues high up in the sky. These roads are sort of bounded with the cars driving on it, so it’s impossible to fall off. The road chooses how fast the cars are driving so no car can drive faster, slower or pass another car. This reduces the amount of car accidents on an enormous scale. On every junction you’ve to chose which side you want to go and the car+road takes care of the rest. On the rest of your journey you can sit back and relax, or eat your (f.e) breakfast which will spare you time. Now you can ask how these cars get ón the roads, well the answer is very simple. The cars have the ability to fly, not like planes do, but good enough to keep you and the car in the air for a small amount of time. The flying is possible because there is a new method for burning Hydrogen and Oxygen which will produce an powerful boost and is completely environmental friendly. But there is even more. It would be difficult to built high roads above the deep oceans so they built roads not above, but simply in the oceans. Roads made on the ocean floor, or if that’s too deep halfway in the ocean. The cars regulate the amount of oxygen so that won’t be a problem. The problem here is the wildlife in the oceans. The cars won’t produce any bad emissions but they will disturb the environment. But that’s the decision we made, the earth is emission free and that’s good for everything and everyone on the whole earth.
Planes
Planes will still be used, simply because they’re much faster than the cars. They will fly higher than the cars do but use the same hydrogen-oxygen energy as the cars. Planes do nowadays already have a kind of roads in the air, so they won’t change much. But they will be run by robots and not by humans anymore.
Space shuttles
Nowadays space shuttles are only used for science, but in 50 years they will be the c
ommon transport option for all humans. They will be used for space-vacations to for example Mars and for nice a nice day out, simply floating through space and return when you want to. The popular vacation address-Mars- has shuttles that drive every 15 minutes to offer the tourists the best possible journey. For the planets that are further away you can book yourself a ticket on the internet, to be assured from a place in the shuttle. And just like the trains nowadays you have first and second class places so you can travel the way you want to.
Ships&Trains
They will only be used for trade between countries. They aren’t much faster than cars(which could drive under water remember?) so the most people chose the car instead of a boat. After a few years all the ordinary boats were discharged. The same counts for the trains, they will still be transporting stuff, but no humans anymore.
