Ethical Problems
Because of new inventions we’re also going to face a lot of ethical problems. According to Wikipedia the definition of ethics is: Ethics is a branch of philosophy which seeks to address questions about morality, such as what the fundamental semantic, ontological, and epistemic nature of ethics or morality is (meta-ethics), how moral values should be determined (normative ethics), how a moral outcome can be achieved in specific situations (applied ethics), how moral capacity or moral agency develops and what its nature is (moral psychology), and what moral values people actually abide by (descriptive ethics). In almost all ethical problems religion plays a big role because many religious people think mankind can’t decide upon some cases and that it’s god’s will.
Nowadays we’re already having a lot of ethical problems, I’m going to explain a problem which is dealt with now: embryo selection. Embryo selection means that an embryo is screened to find genes with genetic diseases. In some cases only the healthy embryo is putted back into the mother. The problem is that some people don’t think we are allowed to say which embryo can grow further and which embryo can’t. also religion plays a big role in this case because in many Religions people think it is god who gives the life to someone and human as you and me aren’t allowed to decide which embryo can life. Another Common Ethical problem are the Genetic Modified Organisms. Solutions are hard to find for ethical problems because has to do with a human way of thinking, there will always be people in favour and against ethical problems. So a real solutions is impossible to find. |
