About us
After all this information now a little bit about us. For every one of us it was the first time making a website. I think everyone enjoyed it a lot, because everything was new. But why did we actually enter the competition of Thinkquest?
On our school we had a project for which we had to make a website. But then our teacher told us there was a competition going on for which you also had to make a website you could win prices. The information needed for the website on Thinkquest was the same as we had to do for our school project and then we thought more and more about different things which had also not directly to do with the website itself. So this easily fit in and we all think it has led to great result.
Team Collaboration
At the beginning, it was difficult to work together because we did not interact so much. This was because the team was put together by the results of a test we had made and our own choices for a team. This test showed what kind of person you were and therefore the best team was made. After a while, we started knowing each other better and how each individual worked. We divided all the work equally and put a deadline for every part of the website and every person. We had some arguments, which were not easy to deal with, but they were all settled in little time.
We had different types of people, with also different temperaments, but these all turned out to cooperate with each other very well. We all helped each other at all sorts of points, from translating a word to coming up with a sentence that would fit better into the context. We all did everything we agreed on, without making a fuss about what to do. We see that we’ve come to a good result, in our eyes, due to our teamwork. We enjoyed working together and would gladly work on a project again, with the same team.
Team diversity
Our team is composed of very different members. It includes people form all over the world. Begoña, our team leader, originally comes from Peru. Her parents were born there, but she was born and has always lived in the Netherlands. However, at home she still has a lot of Peruvian influences and speaks Spanish.
Then we have Eduardo, who is Spanish. He was born in Spain and has lived there until he was five years old. Then he came to the Netherlands and has lived here ever since.
Dyonne, who is the oldest of our team, has always lived in Eijsden, a village near Maastricht. She would never want to live in a big city.
We have Jedde too. She is completely Dutch and has lived in the centre of Maastricht since she was born. Sef, our shaper, is also Dutch and has always lived in Holland. His parents come from the north of the country. Contrary to that, Sean and his parents were born and raised in Maastricht.

"Hello my name is Sef and I’m 15 years old. I was born in the Netherlands just like my parents, so I am not as international as some other members of our group.
I sport a lot, for example I play hockey three/four times a week and I play tennis. Further love to play on my guitar.
I like working on the website, especially because it’s my first time I’m working on a website. It’s a lot of work, but I’m sure the end result will compensate all the work we’ve done."
"My name is Sean, I'm 16 years old and I live and was born in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
My hobbies are playing on the computer and listening to music, I also like being with my girlfriend.
I'm interested in quite a lot of things in many different fields, for example, I'm interested in health care, animals, chemistry, Latin, etc.
And to end my ' about me': I'm not sure how I feel about making this website, it's challenging, which is fun and I like it, but sometimes it is too much."

My hobbies are dancing, the scouts and chatting, but also very much hanging out with friends and just having a good time. My interests are very broad-minded and difficult to write down. I've enjoyed making the site, because it's something different. But sometimes it was hard to work together and too much work to do in little time."

I've been in charge of making the actual website, which I guess hasn't been all that bad, although it's been very stressful in the last few weeks."
"I'm Dyonne and I'm 16 years old. I was born in Heerlen, and live in eijsden sinds I was born. My hobbies are fitness, and going to the scouts. I like listing to music and hanging out with friends. I found it difficult to make the website, this is why I didn't really enjoy it."
