These are the personal thoughts of our impression on Cambodia. Though Cambodia is a third-world country known by all people from all walks of life, it was a totally different thing from what we saw. Cambodia is considered an advanced third-world country. The Cambodians cherish what they have which is not seen in Singapore. From this trip, we learnt not to take things for granted.
Joo Yee's thoughts: The main objectives in creating this website is to share our fruitful experiences and raise the awareness of the need to preserve the world’s rich heritages and cultures, like the great display of architecture. The words and pictures in this site reflects our observations and learning points gathered from our trip to Siem Reap and the visits we paid to the various unique places there. It was fun to piece together each friend’s recount and contribute our perspective and personal thoughts into our creation. Amidst all the tedious work, we really enjoyed each other’s companionship and worked very well as a team.

Joey's Experience: From this competition, I learnt the importance of teamwork and understanding is always required in the competition. There is no individual work in our group. I worked hand in hand with my other members. Though it took a long time to finish making a website, the process was very fun. There were two moments in this competition – serious and relaxed moments. When it was time to be serious, my group members and I just focused on the website. As for the relaxed moment, it meant that we were always playing and joking around as there was not much work to be done. Everything in this website is our effort, so I hope that the results will be a satisfied one for my group.
Harish expressed: I felt that this project was really meaningful to me because it helped me understand more about Cambodia’s culture and religion. Now, because of this project, I am able appreciate other people’s religion. It helped me improve my values such as teamwork, appreciation to other’s opinions and friendship. It also developed the bonding between my teammates and me. During the process of creating this website, I learnt a lot of things from my teammates such as website creating and how to publish information effectively and I am sure that my friends also learnt something from me. I think this whole ThinkQuest project was very worthwhile and it sure influenced me a lot in a positive manner.

Venkat's Recounts: through this competition,i gained a lot of experience and i have also improved my knowledge of cambodia's culture and religion. And i got to know a lot about the cambodian people's lifestyle such as their clothes, food, and what they do for living. Also during my trip to cambodia,i got to know more about my fellow commonwealthians as i got to know about my mates aptitude on filming, reporting and recording. And through this competition, i learnt a lot on IT such as website desighning, creating videos, and how to take prominent photograghs.I also got a opportunity to share my knowledge and ideas that i gained in cambodia with my friends. Although we went to cambodia to learn about cambodia, we also had lots of fun with our fellow travelling friends and through this trip we developed our bonding with my star programme mates.

Vincent's Memories: I really detest my parents for not letting me go to the trip to Cambodia with the group of students and a couple of teachers. When looking at the pictures that my friends took in Cambodia, I was green with envy. I also met with a lot of problems while doing this project but I overcame them without much problem after my friends - which had the opportunity to go - had explained to me the fact on places in Cambodia (ie. Angkor Wat and Angkor Tomb). By looking at the pictures that we've got, we decided to do on the sub-topics (food, local industries, heritage, etc). I managed to get this done on time with my ethnically mixed group members.
