Europe and Mediterranean

Europe and Mediterranean climates and forests do vary, but they are geographically very close, and many things are shared between them, so they have been included together here.

Mediterranean Forests

Southern Europe, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, has many Mediterranean forests. They are usually composed of broadleaf evergreen trees, but much variation can be found in Mediterranean forests.

European-Mediterranean Mixed Forests

Most of Europe is covered by these temperate coniferous forests. There is a fair mix of Mediterranean and European species, and the variety of these forests is great. This region spans 24 countries.
