Broadleaf Forests

Broadleaf forests have leaves which are large and flat, as opposed to coniferous forests, which have needled trees. The energy required to keep the leaves is great, so in most cases, broadleaf trees are also deciduous, and shed their leaves in the fall. However, there are some varieties of broadleaf tree that are evergreen.

Broadleaf forests can occur in many places around the world, and appear in many environments.
