History

Horse drawn public transport buses were first introduced in the 1820’s they were a combination of the hackney carriage and stagecoach concepts. The steam powered bus was used from the 1830’s. The first engine powered buses were introduced when the first automobiles came out. The first engine powered bus was in 1895 then they expanded in the 1900’s and even more in the 1950’s.
