I love fountain pens and have many in my collection. They have a wonderful feel as they glide across the paper and I think they give great character to the letters. There are too many things today that are disposable. It doesn't seem like people are ready to take care of an expensive tool when a cheap one will do the job. Maybe we need to add the cost of disposal to the price of disposable items - to reflect the damage they do when the become trash. Then, a re-usable tool would be more attractive. The other thing I've noticed is that I don't write with a pen much anymore. Almost everything I write is on a computer. When we are all digital, pens will be scarce.
