About Us

This is the Brain Revolution team members.

- Team Collaboration -

When we made the decision to join this competition, we knew it would take a lot of work and we were ready for the challenge! To start out, we made a WIKISPACES to help keep everyone on the team connected and up-to-date on things. We narrowed our topic to a handful of subsections that we wanted to research and then assigned roles according to each others long suits. We also made a calendar so that we could keep to a schedule in order to finish the website in the allotted time frame. Throughout the process of making the website, our group encountered a handful of difficulties and challenges, but we were able to solve them by working together as a team. For example, while we were in the research mode, our group members changed around a bit. We choose to take a positive outlook about it and we continued to work heartily and take advantage of the wealth of knowledge the new team members brought with them. It was really neat to see how everyone was able to share the responsibilities yet also be there for each other when someone got a stuck on something. It certainly was a lot of hard work, but once the website was all finished, it was definitely worth it! Thanks to Mrs. Forsyth and everyone who helped us make this website!!

- Team Diversity -

Our team is very diverse. No one on our team has been in the the Pottsgrove School District from elementary through high school. Some of us have been here only a few months, while others have been here for 2-3 years. But nevertheless, we work together very well. One of our team members, Erica, just moved to Pennsylvania at the beginning of the school year from New Orleans, Louisiana, where she witnessed first hand the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Another one of our team members, Yinan, has just moved from China to the United States. She is learning the English language quickly and easily communicates with us. Rowan and Amy have been here for 3 years although Rowan is from Oregon, and Amy is from Wisconsin. Quinn has lived here most of his life. Gabrielle joined the Pottsgrove School District at the beginning of the school year but has always lived and went to school in Philadelphia until now.

Even though we are all from different places, we have come together to utilize each others' strengths and work together to research this topic, comprehend the information, and make this website.
