A theory that people have about the Bermuda Triangle is that the water and air has methane hydrates. Methane deposits under the ocean could come up to affect the area. It could form huge bubbles, big enough to sink a ship. In the air, it could make an altimeter of a plane think that it is rising, therefore the plane will dive, plunging straight into the ocean. It could also stall an engine of a plane.
Hurricanes, giant whirlpools, and freak, tidal, and rogue waves are able to sink boats because of all the water.
The Gulf Stream, which flows at the Bermuda Triangle area, can float away boats.
There could be bombs from past wars underneath the water, where it explodes, causing ships to sink.

Many people also believe that the Bermuda Triangle is a time hole, or a portal, for aliens to come and study our world. If this was so, it would mean that the missing planes and boats were sent to another dimension.

It might be acts of sea piracy, stealing boats. It could just be the mistake of humans, that this was just an ordinary area, no different from any other.
An extremely popular theory about the Bermuda Triangle is that it has a connection with Atlantis. Atlantis was destroyed by its fire crystals. The Bermuda Triangle might be caused by the broken technology of Atlantis.
