Hey, we're the group called Lumina. Thanks to Eunice for the random, but intriguing group name. We're all living in Los Angeles, California and attending Lawrence Middle School as seventh graders. We are all unique individuals and we all have very different personalities and backgrounds. About the only thing we all share and have in common is the large impact music has on our lives. Here is a little about us:

Ashley~

Hey everyone, I'm Ashley! I am a Gemini that was born on June 6 and am currently twelve years old. I'm Taiwanese, and yes there is a difference between Taiwanese and Chinese. But I can speak Mandarin Chinese too. Archery, swimming, and tennis are my favorite sports. Other hobbies include reading, sketching, and occasionally singing and dancing. Watching anime, Asian dramas, and reading manga are some other pass times. Like my other group members, music means a lot and other than piano, I play the flute. Besides American music, I enjoy J-pop. On/Off, Yuuta Furukawa, and Kanon Wakeshima are three, among many others, of my favorite Japanese artists. My father is Christian and my mother is Buddhist, so I'm split between two religions. Several people think I'm a genius because I do well in school, but I'm not!

My wonderful friends imposed on me the responsibility of being team captain. Being the editor of our writing was my job as well. This About Us page was also done by me. But besides that, I had to research and write too. I created the pages and links on Coral Castle and Oak Island. In addition, I helped Derby with her link about Juan Ponce de Leon.

Derby~

Hello! My name is Derby. I'm thirteen and my birthday is on February 22. I'm Chinese, specifically Cantonese, and my hobbies are piano, swimming, singing, and dancing. In piano, I'm level 6 and I'm on the COLA swim team. I do occasionally go to a temple, but only on pretty rare occasions, so I guess you could call me an atheist. I love music!! I love DBSK, Super Junior, SHINee, BoA, Se7en. Big Bang, Wonder Girls, SNSD, Fahrenheit, S.H.E, 1TYM, 2AM, and 2PM. C-pop is my soul. K-pop is my style. Asian is my craze. All my friends may call me obsessed, but it's not my fault.

For this Thinkquest project, I worked on the pages about the Alignment of Ancient Sites and the Fountain of Youth. I did the internal links for these two pages as well , excluding the one Ashley helped me with. When finished with my pages, I helped Teresa put together our bibliography.

Eunice~

Hello! My name is Eunice and I love Korean barbeque. My birthday is September fifteenth. As you can tell, I'm Korean, and I currently live in the most awesomest (I know it's not a word) house. I have two cats named Casper and Mina. My favorite color is blue. I love going on trips to the ocean or just on a hike. I play the cello plus I love to read manga. My friends may deny it, but currently, I am a penguin. I also like to cook and watch movies. At times, many of my friends call me weird, crazy, or unnormal, but that's just because I'm unique!

I was the graphic designer for this project. It took up a lot of time, but I made our flash introduction video, coded the navigation bar, and put together our home page. But in edition to designing our website, I did a fair share of research and writing as well. My pages were Atlantis and the corresponding links.

Jolie~

My name is Jolie and I'm Vietnamese. If you don't know what that means, I'm Asian. My birthday is on March 21 and I am now thirteen. I am an Aries. I am Christian and can play the piano. (What Asian can't?) Guitar is another instrument I can play. I like to play basketball. Some favorite things to do are eat and sleep. I can eat just about anything! Twelve hours of sleep makes me happy and content. I like to read and my favorite pet is a guinea pig. My favorite color is red. I am easily entertained, yet easily bored. Music is everything to me! I enjoy a wide variety of music. And I am normal, unlike Eunice.

My part in this project was working on the page and three links about Stonehenge. After finishing that, I worked on our interactice quiz on the Extra Fun! page.

Sanam~

My name is Sanam. I was born on September 14 and am now twelve years old. My hobbies are swimming, drawing, reading, and hanging out with my friends. My parents are from Afghanistan, so I speak Farsi, and I have two brothers. My favorite color is pink. I love to sing and dance and music means a lot to me.I was born in the Northridge hospital. I love to travel to adventurous places and go out. I like to skate, watch movies, and my favorite sports are basketball and soccer. My parents think I am a great singer and that I should go on American Idol, besides the fact that I have stagefright. I like to go on Youtube and listen to songs.

My page in this project was Easter Island. I thought it was an interesting topic and did that page and the two links.

Teresa~

Hey, I'm Teresa. My birthday is on December 21 and I am currently 12 years old. I am Chinese and can speak Mandarin. I play a Chinese two-string instrument called the er hu. Being Baptist, I go to church. Reading, sketching, and gardening are some of my favorite things to do. I have a pet cat named Jackie. I really love cats and green being my favorite color, I like willow trees too. Reading manga and watching anime are also favorites. The music that runs through my head is J-pop. I really hate stuck up, annoying people. Someday, I'd like to beat them up. But probably only in my dreams.

My topic for this project was the Bermuda Triangle. I did a lot of reasearch to put it and three links together. When finished, I offered to work on our bibliography. I'm really good with Photoshop so i helped everyone with editing their pictures. I helped Eunice to fix and edit her Atlantis pages. I also created the banners at the top of our pages.
