
The Olmecs and the Toltecs were the people who created the gods and myths of the Aztecs. Some of the creations were Tezcatlipoca, Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli, and Xipetotec also known as the creator gods of Mythology. These creators god were supposedly the first four children of Aztec Mythology and they had turned into suns. The humans had done blood lettings to show respect. Aztec gods created humans which had to serve them and fight for them. If the humans did not serve the gods it would usually lead to destruction and doom.
The sun and moon was created from the marriage with earth. The young child became the sun, and the mother became the moon. The lancandons have the creation of the main kin grouping on their totemic animals. Fourth of the first ancestors were made from maize dough. The forces of sea and sky created the earth. The lancandons also knew the tale of the creation of the underworld.
The water god of the Mayans glossary was Chac. The Mayans worshiped Chac to bring forth rain to their land for crops such as maize. The rain god is a big figure in Maya. The maize god is called Hun-Hunahpu also known as Ah Mun. The Mayans would draw Ah Mun with maize growing out of its ears. The pleiade of origin has the colors of maize. Ixchel is the god of pregnancy and birth. In Popul Vuh it talks about the creation of man kind.
