1. Mature red onions.
They not only alleviate colds, congestion, and blood cholesterol, the pungent smell can also help raise the throat moisture and boost the respiratory system’s function. Their smell can be inhaled and the flesh can be cooked. Patients should eat red onions for at least 2 months and for better effects they may be eaten raw with other dishes. |
2. Chilies.
The hot flavor will clear the airway and add to the throat moisture. Chilies will loosen the muscles around the trachea. Thus chilies are great for those with respiratory problems. Chilies can be used as an ingredient for many dishes to help alleviate snoring. |
3. Ginger.
A whole thumb-sized clove or approximately 5 grams can be bashed and boiled to make ginger juice that refreshes and clears the airway. |
4. Hairy Basil , Hoary Basil
Hairy Basil has cold-relieving properties and helps with the function of the respiratory system. |
