Symptoms of snorer
1.Tiredness.
Sleeping is very important to humans. While we are sleeping, our bodies relax and certain functions of the body get to work like the growth hormones. Many people are aware of this fact, however the research SuperKid Team conducted shows that 72.1% of the samples sleep only about 5-7 hours a day. If we sleep less than normal, snoring will further shorten the duration of quality sleep .
The reason is that snoring causes the snorers to stop breathing in their sleep. When our bodies lack oxygen, the brain will quickly wake us up. This could occur many times in one night and thus decrease the quality of sleeping. When the snorers wake up, they will feel dizzy, and then tired in the afternoon.
The research of SuperKid Team shows that 59.8% of the samples feel sleepy after waking up. Sleepiness is the main cause of lower working or studying performance because the brain and the body lack sufficient rest. The important thing is that breathing difficulty while sleeping is related to other diseases which could occur later such as hypertension, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, and abnormalities of the blood vessles to the brain. These could lead to premature death.
2: Noise-making in the sleep.
The ordinary sounds while we are sleeping are made as we breath in and as we breath out. For snorers, the inhaling sound will be very loud because the uvula which is lower than usual is blocking the respiratory cavity. Level of the noise will vary depending on how low the uvula that blocks the breathing path is. This means that the louder the snore is, the higher the risk of stopping breathing, and the higher the risk of developing many other diseases, or even death. The result from the research shows that 50.1% of the samples think that their snoring noise is small, but 76.3% of the samples say that whatever level of the noise is, they think it is too loud. |
