In Medieval Government, the king/monarch showed his power in his royal court in multiple ways. He would:


Monarchs believed they were given power by the gods and were equal to them. A king's people could not overthrow him because it would be like disobeying god. However, if the monarch was weak or poor, his powerful barons could depose from the throne.
Around 900 CE, there became a lack of central government. There was no management of the people and they fought constantly. Most land owner used to be warriors and started to strategize and start a battle. These series of fights lead to a type of government called Feudalism. This system was the process of giving and keeping pieces of land to workers and affected the social class in Medieval Europe.
