Here are just some random facts about the Titanic that didn't really fit into the others website.
On April 14th of 2009 it will mark the 97th anniversity of the sinking of the Titanic.
It took a total of 3 hours for the Titanic to completley sink. During those 3 hours 705 people made it to a lifeboat and survived.
Back then it cost $7,500,000 to build the Titanic and if today we were to build the exact replica it would cost $400,000,000!
The iceberg that the boat hit was the size of an ice cube 1 million years ago.
This picture shows the Titanic hitting the iceberg. And shows how big the iceberg acctually was!
If the ship were to have stayed floating for another hour and 45 minutes help would have arrived and more people would have survived.
During the making of the movie the director built 7 acres, 17 million gallons pf seawater to make the movie.
Facts about people on the boat.
Captain Edward John Smith was 62 while on the Titanic and he died 2 months and 28 days before her 63rd birthday.

After the movie had come out many people went to cemetaries looking for Jack Dawson. They found a headstone labeled "J Dawson" which everyone thought was him but later to their dissopointment they discovered he was actually Joseph Dawson, a man who woked on the boat.
