Titanic Passengers! By Hannah

 

    Edward Beane was born on November 19th, 1948. Edward and Ethel Clarke, his wife, were on there honeymoon. They were second class passengers. Mr. Beane and his wife were the few couples that survived thanks to the “Women and Children first” rule.

  

        Rossmore Edward Abbott was 16 and lost his life. Edward was a third class passenger with his mother Rosa and brother Eugene. Edward his mother and brother all jumped right before the titanic sank. Ms. Rosa was saved but the boys were both lost at sea. Ross’s body was recovered and buried on April 24th , 1912. 

   Julia Barry was 27 and a New York City resident in the tragedy. Julia was in Farranfore, Co Kerry, her home town, visiting relatives. She was a 3rd class passenger and lost her life. If they found her body, they didn’t identify it to be her.

   

    Nellie Becker was 36 in the disaster. She had 3 children, Ruth Richard and Marion. She paid £39 for her cabin, F-4. Nellie was second-class and was going to America to treat the illness of one of her kids. After the Titanic she started crying whenever anybody brought it up. Nellie died February 15th of 1961. 

        Helen Loraine Allison was 2 born on June 5th of 1909. Helen was with her mother father and brother Trevor aboard the Titanic in 1st class. Trevor went missing with his nurse in the fiasco and the Allison’s wouldn’t leave without Him and his nurse. The Allison’s were last seen on the front deck smiling, together. Loraine Allison was the only child in the first and second class to die. Trevor was the only Allison that survived.

 

 

 

    Madeleine Violet Mellinger was born February 22 1899 in England. Violet was 13 on the Titanic. She said in an interview with Toronto Star on April 15, 1974: "I could see the lights of the ship starting to go under water, then soundlessly, perhaps a mile away, it just went down. It was gone. Oh yes, the sky was very black and the stars were very bright. They told me the people in the water were singing, but I knew they were screaming." Madeleine dies on May 27th of 1976.

     Kornelia Theodosia Andrews was 63. She was with her niece and sister on the titanic on their way to Hudson. The Carpathia saved Kornelia and her family.  Miss Andrew died on December 4, 1913

   Albert Barker was 18 and working as a baker on the Titanic. Before the Titanic Albert had worked as an assistant baker on the Oceanic. Albert agreed to work on the titanic on April 6th of 1912. Like Miss Julia Barry, if they found his body they didn’t identify it to be him.
