The yukata is made with straight
seams and wide sleeves. It is held together with an obi(belt). Both men and
women wear this. Japanese summer clothing used at special summer events. Unlike
the kimono, whichis usually composed of silk or synthetic fibers, it is usually
composed of cotton.
Kimonos are T-shapes robes with collars and full-length sleeves that are wide. The Kimono is worn by women and men. It is worn on special occasions. The design varies from extremely formal to casual. It is usually composed of silk or other synthetic fibres.
The Hakama is a traditional Japanese piece of clothing usually worn outside a Kimono. It was customarily used solely by men, but today is used by both men and women in Japan. It was made to wear for a samurai. The Hakama was cut short so the opponent could see the samurai's footing.
