What are Performance Enhancing Drugs?

Performance Enhancing drugs were first invented in the 1930s to help people in hospitals who have lost a large amount of muscle tissue. When this was invented many people used steroids to increase muscle growth.

Now people abuse steroids by using steroids more often then supposed to. Today in the United States it is illegal to buy steroids, but still people smuggle them from different countries. Steroids can cause lots of diseases and irregularity in one's growth (Steroids are another name for these drugs).

There are two types of steroids: street and prescribed. Street steroids are easy to find, but you connot tell if it's fake, the concentrations are not monitored (the ingredients in these drugs could be strong enough to cause an overdose) and often your not going to get what you were buying. Prescribed steroids, are the opposite: they will always help you. They will also always be what you were trying to get, the ingredients will always be monitored and they much more expensive.
