The Common Pierrot (Castalius rosimon) is a small butterfly found in South East Asia and India.
The upper side is white with black edges. The underside is white with black spots on it.
This butterfly is fond of sunshine and basking more after the rains. It Visits flowers, damp patches, dead insects and bird droppings. The larva is bright green with 2 dorsal faint yellow bands and 2 or 3 black spots in the abdominal region.
